What is your return policy?
We have a 30-day “love it or return it” guarantee. If you don’t, you can exchange it or return it to request a refund. We also have a six-month manufacturing guarantee. If a button pops off or a zipper breaks, we will fix it, even if it’s six months from now! For more information on this, see our Customer Policies page here on the site. Lash.Live, CommentSold and any Clearance items are not covered under the 30 Day return personal preference policy and come with a limited warranty.
I purchased a Sash from a third-party (not Sash) can I still return it?
We can only honor our 30-day guarantee and warranty for Sash Bags purchased directly through us on our website (here) and our official Amazon page. Please be careful when shopping from third party sellers.
What about if I buy a bag on eBay or from a private seller for a discount?
We know that is an option that some people chose. However, purchasing directly from us means your Sash Bag is eligible for the 30-day return policy and the six-month warranty. When purchased from a third party (other than from our Amazon stores), the warranty is void. When you buy directly from our website, you have the reassurance that if a zipper breaks, or stitching is loose, or a snap isn’t holding, we’ve got you covered. There’s a bit of truth in that “you get what you pay for” and with our level of quality and that kind of a guarantee, it’s worth the little bit extra to have that peace of mind.
I purchased my bag through Amazon, can I return it in person?

How do I get a discount or coupon code for a Sash bag?
Everybody loves a deal! The best way to stay on top of our special sales and discounts is to sign up for our newsletter on our website. If I have two discount codes, can I use both?
You are welcome to use one discount code per purchase. When you make another purchase (and we think you will ;) you can use a different discount code.
Are there any financing options offered?
We are excited to offer Afterpay as a payment option. This allows customers to pay for a purchase over four equal installments, due every two weeks. Your order will ship right to you after the first payment is processed. Do you sell a pattern for the Sash so I can make my own?
As the Sash bag is patented, duplication in any form is a no-no! So, if you see a pattern for sale, it most certainly is a scam.The design is a lot more intricate than most realize and while we have seen many (rather comical) attempts, there are several features to the Sash that are not easily duplicated. The design itself has been through years of modifications based on real-world research and a lot of trial and error. There are no authorized knock-offs or licensees. We highly recommend only purchasing directly from us (on our two websites - links here - from our Amazon stores - links here. That way you’re protected by our warranty against manufacturing defects.
Do you ever sell used or imperfect bags?
We do, actually! We hold monthly sales on our live video sales platform, Lash.Live . Sign up for an account at Lash.Live and make sure to follow us on Facebook and in our VIP group to be informed of sales. There are plenty of opportunities to get your hands on a used or “less than perfect” bag (even some that are last of their kind, closeout, and clearance that are no longer on our website). These bags are sold at a discount due to slight imperfections and so carry a limited warranty. But if you’re looking for a deal, this is a great place to find one!
Are the Sash bags adjustable?
Yes, they are fully adjustable to fit all shapes and sizes. In rare cases we have to add an additional strap to elongate it, but, so far, it’s worked for everyone! It adjusts typically from 25-30 inches in length from shoulder to top of the waist diagonally. Extra straps are based upon availability as we do not carry them for every style. To inquire about extra straps for your style, please email info@thesashbag.com The cost is $15 for leather straps, and $11 for cloth which includes shipping and handling.
How do I care for my bag?
We recommend that you treat your Sash with a product that will protect it from stains and moisture if your lifestyle or climate calls for it. Your local shoe & leather repair shop can offer their preferred suggestions and will typically carry those products for sale. Amazon.com is also a good resource. It is not a requirement that you treat your bag, but we recommend it as normal wear and tear is not covered under warranty, and our customers wanted to know the best way to care for their Sash and keep it in the best condition possible. Different people have varying levels of usage and there are many different climates and environments, so it's hard to say whether pre-treating is absolutely necessary. But as with any product that you want to keep as nice as possible, there are proper ways to care for it, which is why we have provided the suggestions below: LEATHER: We use and recommend the following: Lexol Liquid Conditioner – It is the “gold” standard for conditioning leather to keep it supple and soft. It can be used alone or mixed with the cream shoe polish for color touch ups. Angelus Water & Stain Repellent-- Good for both leather and cloth! To darken the color of your genuine leather Sash our manufacturer also recommends Mineral Oil. FOR CLOTH/FAUX LEATHER: We recommend spot cleaning as needed with cold water and a mild liquid soap. For cloth only: It's not a requirement but occasionally treating with a fabric protector/ stain repellant will help insure your bag stays in its best condition possible. Do not machine wash.
Why is there no pocket in the middle? Isn’t that wasted space?
That was actually done on purpose so your Sash Bag lies flat against the hip. The goal is to remove bulk by stacking everything up the front and back of the bag, leaving the middle flat.
Is this good for travel?
Yes, yes, and YES! It’s amazing for travel. It fits a passport inside ANY of the pockets. Huge bonus - you don’t have to take it off! You can wear it on the plane, in a cab, on a bike, in a restaurant, even when you use the restroom. There’s no risk in losing it or having it stolen when it’s on your body. Plus, it’s compact enough to fit under a coat, sweater, or wrap to really keep it hidden.
Do the bags have RFID protection?
Yes! We have included RFID protection in the lining of the bag so your information is safe from thieves! The protection is located on the card slots and we recommend using a RFID sleeve for passports.
Will it fit a water bottle?
Our extra and expandable styles both fit a variety of water bottle sizes if the other pockets are lightly filled. Our Classic can fit a small one in the inside or outside pocket, if the other pockets are empty. . . If you want a water bottle on one side, move everything else to the other side of the bag to offset.
Where else do you sell the bag?
The bulk of our business is right here on our website. We are also now selling on Amazon! We have a store in San Diego, California. You can visit us there at 3785 6th Avenue Monday through Friday from 9am - 5pm or during special events.
Can men wear the product?
Absolutely! We have many men who love their Sash bag!
I am an international customer. What can I expect?
Sash Group, Inc. is based out of San Diego, California, and all of our products ship from our home base here in the United States. When you order the bag from another country, you will incur international shipping charges that may be quite high. When ordering domestically, purchases are subject to taxes. Items purchased in the US and shipped to other countries are subject to customs and duties. When ordering internationally and importing goods, they are subject to customs/duties. Each country and region assesses these fees. Sash does not imposed nor profit from these charges. It’s also not possible for us to know what charges you will incur. We do not charge taxes on our international orders however from the US, so you are not being double taxed. When you place your Sash Bag order, at checkout we may offer shipping options such as USPS shipping via your local carriers or a courier service such as DHL. The courier services tend to be a little more expensive but they do arrive quicker in choosing this option and often provide better tracking capabilities.
Will you make a Sash with vegan leather?
Our faux leather is completely vegan! Colors and styles may vary, so if you see one you like, grab it before they sell out.
Do you make these for concealed carry for handguns?
They are not designed for this purpose, although we know of customers who use it as such. Due to legal liability reasons, this feature will not likely be added in the future. What you put in your Sash bag is entirely up to you, but as it’s not made for such items, we do not recommend it as a gun holster.
Where does your leather come from?
We use skins that are a byproduct of the meat industry in India, where our bags are manufactured. They are lambskin, as that is the preferred cuisine in their country. The skins would otherwise go to waste, however the tannery we work with actually went to the meat packers and taught them a new way to do it so that the skins could be repurposed instead of simply discarded. The skins are a byproduct, and we are quite proud of our manufacturing and the integrity of our vendors and our customers.
Where are Sash bags made?
Most of our Sash bags are made in Chennai, India with select production done in China. In trying to create a product that is very difficult to sew, but intended for multiple price points, meant traveling the world to find the best way to produce Sash Bags, it wasn't just the price that concerned us. While we promote Sash Bags as a way for their wearers to treat themselves a little better, we also want to make sure that the people who make them are being treated just as well. In our search to find the best option to manufacture Sash Bags, we made fair trade and labor practices the top priority. We met with factories in Mexico, Korea, Indonesia, and finally ended up aligning first with an amazing factory owner in India, Muralidharan Subramanian (his is the same factory that makes leather goods for Nordstrom). Their quality and reputation are impeccable and Chennai has become our second home. More recently, we partnered with a manufacturer in China. This process was vetted personally by Nichole and our manufacturer in India to ensure the highest quality product for you, and fair labor practices for everyone who touches a Sash Bag as it’s produced.
